Zanzibar - Blue Bay Beach Resort *****

Bluebay Beach Resort is located on the north-east coast of Zanzibar in an area known as Kiwengwa, and is only one hour’s drive from the town and airport on a recently built tarmac road.
The hotel is situated on 25 acres with its bedroom cottages overlooking verdant gardens, the pool, beautiful palm trees, a white beach and warm azure sea with its coral reefs.
Accommodation
74 superior rooms, 6 garden view rooms, 6 deluxe suites and 2 Sultan suites and 24 Club rooms
All rooms and suites have - 2 large four poster beds or one king size double bed all with mosquito nets, separate dressing room, en-suite bathroom/shower, spacious veranda, split level air conditioner, modern electronic safe with personal code, ceiling fan, satellite TV, mini-bar, hair dryer, smoke detector, telephone, coffee and tea making facility.
In addition to the above features, the deluxe and garden rooms have a spacious lounge and a bigger veranda. The deluxe rooms have a special feature of an outside double shower in a private garden and a sunken bath in a very spacious bathroom. The Sultan Suites have direct access to a private beach and a butler service. Some of the superior rooms have interconnecting doors for families.
The 24 Club Rooms are in a private section of the hotel gardens. All rooms have a fabulous sea view and within the private area, there is a free flow pool with a Jacuzzi and cozy lounge, bar and restaurant, all of which is exclusive to the Club Rooms.
Restaurants & Bars
From the Makuti restaurant there are magnificent views over the swimming pool to the ocean and beyond. Here breakfast, dinner (within the meal plan arrangements), all served in buffet style with a different daily theme daily. The pool bar located at the swimming pool serves a full range of wines, spirits and minerals as well as coffees.
The Beach Bar is an ideal place for guests to sip cold drinks or to enjoy a feast of seafood specialties, pizzas prepared in our authentic wood fired oven as well as other light fare, all served in an informal setting with toes in the sand and a magnificent thatched roof to shade you from the hot tropical sun. Open from lunchtime to 4 pm The Bahari Grill is open in the evenings offering a fine dining experience. Bookings are required. The hotel has an outstanding boutique.
Conference room
The hotel boasts a fully air-conditioned conference room able to hold a maximum of 40 people. Equipment available - slide projector, video projection system, overhead projector and a PA system.
A fully equipped Business Centre and Guest Service Desk is available to guests and offers the following facilities - secretarial services, computer centre, e-mail access, fax and photocopying, mobile telephone rental, excursions and flight bookings and re- confirmations.
Sports and Health Facilities
The hotel has a Fitness Centre featuring a range of modern equipment made in Italy by Technogym, a flood lit tennis court, 5-star PADI Scuba Diving Centre (One Ocean Diving) and a Water Sports Centre with windsurfers, canoes and sailing boats. Table tennis as well as snooker and billiards tables are also available. In 2006 a dedicated Watersports Centre was opened for the guests’ convenience.
Other facilities include an open air discotheque, a wide screen TV viewing facility, guest safes, a large fresh water swimming pool with adjoining open-air Jacuzzi and a children's paddling pool, a children's club ( on demand ), a well equipped Dispensary with a Doctor on call and the most fantastic Spa in East Africa.

Itinerary: 7 nights
- DAY 1: Fly from Johannesburg to Zanzibar with Air Tanzania. Transfer to the Blue Bay Beach Resort where you will be staying for 7 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
- DAY 8: Transfer to the airport and check in for your return flight to Johannesburg.
Prices include:
International flights (departure from Johannesburg), hotel accommodation and meals as indicated and all airport-hotel transfers.
What is not included:
Meals not indicated, drinks, tips, personal expenses, fuel, any visa fees, internet access, travel insurance and airport taxes
