Vanila is a popular and highly recommended hotel with two spacious fresh water swimming pools, four bars, a boutique, massage room, laundry service and internet access. The hotel is situated on the west-coast of Nosy Be Island, in a beautiful garden, but does not have a great swimming beach. The hotel organises pirogue excursions to the nearby island of Sakatia where you may stay on your own private beach as long as you wish. All 40 rooms and suites are equipped with ensuite bathrooms with showers, separate WC, satellite TV, telephone, hair dryer, overhead fans and air-conditioning. Air conditioning is optional in the garden and sea view rooms. Among the 38 standard rooms, 30 can be converted to a triple room. 4 rooms have connecting doors.

Accommodation (40 rooms)
•    20 garden view rooms (28m²) with private terrace of which 4 garden rooms (36m²) can take two extra beds (4 persons maximum)
•    18 sea view rooms (32 – 42m²) with private terrace
•    2 prestige suites (64m²) with all modern conveniences such as mini hi-fi, DVD player, Jacuzzi on balcony, 2 WC, 2 lounges and tea/coffee facilities.

Restaurants - The main restaurant is the Parfume Vanille where breakfast and dinners are served. Grill de Sol is located near the second pool overlooking the ocean. Open all day serving light meals and in the evenings their menu is more lavish offering delicacies such as lobster, prawn, duck pate etc.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful garden but does not have a great beach. The hotel organises pirogue excursions to the nearby island of Sakatia where you may stay on your own private beach as long as you wish. There is a conference room with equipment seating 45 people. Baby-sitting service available on request.

Itinerary: 7 nights

DAY 1: Fly to Antananarivo (Tana), the lively Malagasy capital in the Central Highlands. You are met and transferred to the Relais des Plateaux Hotel (B&B).

Day 2 : You are transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Nosy Be. A representative of the hotel will meet you on arrival. Transfer to the Vanila Hotel where you will be staying for 5 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

DAY 7 : Transfer to the Nosy Be airport for your flight to Tana. Here you are met and transferred to the Relais des Plateaux Hotel (B&B).

DAY 8: Transfer to the airport and check in for your flight to Johannesburg.

Prices include

International (departure from Johannesburg) and internal Malagasy flights, all accommodation and meals as indicated and all airport-hotel transfers.
