An imposinghotel located in the fascinating southern spiny vegetation. It has twenty (20) bungalows with modern en-suite bathrooms. Many of the rooms are upstairs/downstairs witha loft room which catches the evening breezes making it more comfortable at night. The lodge is run on solar and wind power. Each room as a room-safe; there are no electricalplugs,fans or air-conditioning. If one needs to charge batteries it is possible only at reception. The spacious restaurant has a beautiful terrace overlooking the nearby shoreline and ocean. The tide recedes a great distance at low tide and at high tide the beach is almost non-existent.The pool is delightful and is surrounded by stylish recliners with umbrellas. The food at the restaurant is beautifully presented. It offers a menu of the day with three choices as well asa small a la carte menu. Pizzas on Sunday are out of the pizza oven. The hotel is set in a small area of natural coastal spiny forest. Many of the plants are labelled and there is a botanical trail through thearea. Running Coua and Madagascar Nightjar are common here.
