A taste of local life greets you as you are transferred to the hotel by pirogue from Ile Sainte Marie to Ile Aux Nattes (10 minutes). Baboo Village is a small quaint hotel offering 14 reed/thatch chalets, some with ensuitefacilities and others with shared ablutions (Hot water on request). The chalets all have mosquito nets, fans and twin/double beds with small verandas. This cute hotel is set in pretty gardens and is a must for anyone wanting to just relax, eat great food and snorkel/dive.

A popular restaurant entices you to enjoy local Malagasy fare. A long jetty offers you the chance to sit and have cocktails whilst the sun sets.

Free activities: snorkelling, badminton, volleyball, petanque and introductory course in woodcarvingby a local carver from Ambositra.

Ile Sainte Marie (Nosy Boraha), a 57 km-long island off Madagascar's east coast, is an authentic tropical island with lush vegetation interspersed with many small villages. Itinerary - 7 nights

• DAY 1: Fly to Antananarivo, lively Malagasy capital in the Central Highlands. On arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Relais des Plateaux Hotel for the night (B&B).
• DAY 2: Transfer to the airport and fly to Ile Sainte Marie. A representative of the hotel will meet you on arrival. Transfer to Baboo Village where you will be staying for five nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
• DAY 7: Transfer to the airport and fly back to Antananarivo. You will be met by our agents who will transfer you to Relais des Plateaux Hotel for the night (B&B).
• DAY 8: Check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport. Check in for your flight to Johannesburg.

Prices include

International (departure from Johannesburg with Air Madagascar) and internal Malagasy flights, all accommodation and meals as indicated, all excursions with car and driver, guides in the reserves, entry permits and all airport-hotel transfers.
