After breakfast depart for the village of Maido which is 2200 metres above sea level and is situated on the rim of the Mafate cirque. Stop and enjoy the breathtaking panorama of Reunion and Mafate. Mafate know as the mysterious cirque can only be reached on foot or by helicopter. On the way to Saint Paul stop at the Geranium factory and visit the De Villa le Museum in Saint Gilles Les Hauts. This is an old colonial estate spread out over 10 hectares with beautiful gardens, Chapelle Pointue, slaves' hospital and exhibitions.Visit the Grottes de Premiers Francais and enjoy Saint Paul's Friday market.
