  • Saffron (Thai Cuisine): Banyan Tree's signature restaurant specialises in modern Thai cuisine, and its elegant Thai-style decor reflects this. Thai silk brocades, hand-woven by Thai village women, are draped along the walls as art work, and the banana leaf, an important element of Asian cuisine, is creatively incorporated in the furnishing as the main design element.
  • Au Jardin d'Epices (Western & Creole Cuisine): Contemporary African is the theme for Au Jardin d'Epices, and the interior design keeps to primitive patterns and natural textures such as rock and wood. Banyan Tree Spa
Snuggled artfully among the virgin jungle vegetation are the eight beautiful hillside pavilions of the award-winning Banyan Tree Spa. Let our trained therapists soothe your cares away with our full range of spa treatments and packages, such as the signature Harmony Banyan and Royal Banyan. The glass walls of the spa pavilions create a feeling of openness and allow Mother Nature to cradle you as you drift off into a state of deep relaxation. Guests can indulge in calming treatments carried out within their villa or in one of the Spa's luxurious hillside pavilions nestled amidst the lush tropical vegetation and natural granite boulders. The spa pavilions are recreations of the very best of Seychellois architecture combine contemporary, colonial and 'plantation' decor. Above the exquisite spa therapy beds features a high ceiling resembling a splendour silky sunshade as guest being spoilt with treatments that these include Kaffir Lime, Lemon grass, Galangal, Mint, Watermelon, Pumpkin, Rose, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine.

The Banyan Tree Spa Seychelles features: Eight pavilions: featuring side-by-side treatment beds and steam rooms. From the total, two pavilions offer Jacuzzi with one of the pavilion also offering rain- shower cum steam room facility. Salon: offering hair care, pedicure and manicure services. Opening hours: the spa pavilions open from 9am to 10pm; last treatment ends at 10pm.

Meeting Facilities
Situated in the SPA area, the Board Room is fully air-conditioned and without pillars or obstructions, and the lighting is fitted with a dimmer facility. The size of the conference room is 30 m². The room is free of charge from 8am to 5pm comprising of all below equipment and facilities in exchange of any coffee break order mention. Additional equipments are available with supplement upon request.

Activities

  • Beach Picnics can be arranged through Villa Dining.
  • Canoeing: Explore Anse Intendance while paddling in our one-seater or two-seater canoes. Equipment is available free of charge from our water sports attendants, who are located at the Main Pool. This activity is subject to weather and sea conditions.
  • Champagne on the rocks
  • An exclusive sundowner with your own private butler at one of the most spectacular sea views of Intendance Bay. Enjoy your champagne and canapes in between the granite boulders in a truly romantic location.
  • Creole cooking class: Take home a real authentique memory of Seychelles and show off your skills with a fun filled session of local culinary delights. This will be held with a personalized Chef in the new Creole Restaurant Chez Lamare.
  • Diving: We recommend preferred PADI-certified Dive Operators located on Mahe. They can organise courses, introductory sessions and full dive programmes, and also provide complimentary transfers. At times during the year, they also provide dive trips directly from Intendance Beach for your convenience.
  • Island Tour: Explore the capital Victoria and Selwyn Clarke Market, with the luxury of stopping at the local attractions and of course the best shopping spots. With a local guide at hand you will have all the inside information on the best spots and interesting stories. Then enjoy the amazing coastal ride back to the hotel.
  • Local Artisan Tour: Enjoy a cultural filled day in a private transfer and guide to some of Seychelles "famous artists" studios, in the south of Mahe. Enjoy a drink with the artist and maybe even indulge in an authentic piece or two! This half day tour includes refreshments. (Artists include Michael Adams, Tom Bowers, George Camille, Creole Institute).
  • Fishing: Costs for full day and half day available. The Seychelles contains some of the richest fishing grounds in the world, a multi-faceted and exciting fishing destination for amateurs and professionals alike. An abundance of pelagic fish including Sailfish, Marlin, Tuna, Jack, Wahoo, Giant Barracuda and Rainbow Runner scours offshore in and among shoals of baitfish.
  • Games: Chess, Dominoes, Lenga, Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and Playing Cards are just some of the games available in the Library, located adjacent to the Lobby.
  • Green Sea Turtle Watch: Every year from October to February, the Intendance beach becomes home to the Green Sea Turtle who come to lay their eggs, a privilege that our guests enjoy very much.
  • Mountain Biking: Explore the local areas of Intendance, Takamaka or as far as your legs will take you with our modern multi-speed mountain bikes, available free of charge through the Bell Staff, located at the Main Entrance.
  • Tennis: Open air hard green surface tennis court available on site, including optional professional tennis coach available on request.
  • Yoga: Enjoy a delightful session to enlighten you internally and externally with a professional yoga master in the tranquil surroundings of your personal villa or in any of the public areas of the hotel.

Please note:

  • Maximum 1 child per villa. Any child under 16 years must share villa with a parent.
  • Day bed is available only in the Villa as part of the furniture. It may be used as bedding for children below 16 years only. The in-villa sofa can be made up into a single bed for one child under the age of 16 years of age on request. No further external bed facility can be supplied to the villas.
  • 2 Bedroom Double Pool Villas: The villa will only accommodate four persons at any one time. This is either four adults or two adults and two children. Day 1:
Depart from Johannesburg International Airport for your flight to the Seychelles. On arrival at the airport in Mahe our agents will meet you and transfer you to the Banyan Tree Seychelles where you will be staying for 6 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 7:
Transfer to the airport and check in for your return flight to Mahe and flight back to Johannesburg.
