Located on the north-east coast of Zanzibar, with 350 metres of pristine beach, spectacular coral reefs and a wide diversity of marine life, this hotel is just 55 minutes from Zanzibar airport. The architecture of the resort offers a rustic exclusivity and unparalleled luxury on the African coastline.
Nestled in the shade of tropical coastal forest and along palm-covered walkways there are 109 rooms. There are 56 Island Cottages, 12 Island Cottages with sea view, 14 Deluxe Rooms, 12 Superior Rooms, 5 Deluxe Rooms with sea view and 10 Suites with sea view. Each has an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, hair-dryers, coffee & tea making facilities, mosquito netting, complimentary shoe-shine, 24 hour in-room dining, same day laundry and dry-cleaning, safety deposit boxes and spacious verandas with views over the grounds.
Restaurants
Trade Winds is the main dining facility offering three meals daily, buffets and a pizza oven. Zama Lounge offers snacks but also offers an a la carte menu. Nahodha Lounge offers snacks and cocktails. There are two poolside bars the Mchanga and the Mwanga.
Spa and Fitness
Our Willow Stream Spa offers a wide range of treatments and massages using the finest selection of Zanzibar-infused products. Guests also enjoy a well-equipped gym with modern equipment and aerobics tutorials.
Diving
Visit our PADI (SUBEX) dive centre, complete with a decompression chamber, for dive training and excursions to living reefs in year-round warm water.
Conferences and Banquets
Offers a complete Business Centre with a fully equipped conference centre (120m2) with a maximum capacity of 80 seats. Weddings and other special occasions can be catered for by prior arrangement.

Itinerary: 7 nights
- DAY 1: Fly from Johannesburg to Zanzibar with Air Tanzania. Transfer to the Fairmont Zanzibar where you will be staying for 7 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
- DAY 8: Transfer to the airport and check in for your return flight to Johannesburg.
