IT09-Tanzania - Southern circuit : Dar Es Salaam, Selous Game Reserve, Mikumi & Ruaha National Parks (9 nights)

Explore the remote southern reserves by 4 x 4 vehicle. The first and last night in Dar Es Salaam, 3 nights in Selous Game Reserve, 2 nights at Mikumi National Park and 2 nights at the Ruaha National Park. This trip can easily be extended in Selous or Ruaha. This itinerary is based on basic accommodation since the luxury lodges insist on minimum 3 night stays at each location.

Itinerary - 9 nights

DAY 1: Fly to Dar Es Salaam. Meet and greet and transfer to the Holiday Inn (B&B).
DAY 2: Depart from Dar Es Salaam by 4WD vehicle for Selous Game Reserve with packed lunch en route. Late afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp of your choice.

Basic location: Mbega Camp *
Standard location: Rufiji River Camp **

DAY 3: Spend the day in Selous. Morning boating safari and in the afternoon game drive. Full board at camp of your choice. (Same as day 2)
DAY 4: Spend the day in Selous. Morning boating safari and in the afternoon game drive. Full board at camp of your choice. (same as day 2)
DAY 5: After breakfast drive to Mikumi National Park. On route packed lunch. Dinner and overnight at Mikumi at the camp of your choice.

Basic location: Gensies Guest House *
Standard location: Mikumi Wildlife Camp (Kikoboga)**

DAY 6:

Basic location: Ruaha Hilltop Lodge *
Standard location: Ruaha River Lodge **

DAY 7: The day is spent in Ruaha with morning and afternoon game drives. Full board accommodation at the camp of your choice (same as day 6).
DAY 8: After breakfast depart from Ruaha and drive to Mikumi. Packed lunch. Dinner and overnight at Mikumi. Camp of your choice (same as day 5).
DAY 9: Early morning game drives in Mikumi. After a late breakfast depart for Dar Es Salaam. Overnight stay at the Holiday Inn (breakfast & lunch).
DAY 10: Transfer to the airport and flight out.

Prices include

International flights (ex Johannesburg), airport transfers, transportation in 4x4 safari vehicle (maximum 5 passengers) with English speaking diver/guide with game drives. All accommodation and meals as indicated.

Visa fee, meals not indicated, drinks, tips, personal expenses, Christmas & New Year holiday supplements, Serengeti balloon safari, travel insurance and airport taxes.
