Breezes Beach Club is a beautiful 70 room resort situated on the south-east coast of the island and one hours drive from the airport. The hotel has a unique charm and has become renowned for its great attention to detail and tasteful décor. The rooms are set in Plantation Villas scattered around the tropical garden. All rooms are tastefully decorated in ivory tones, with cotton throws, teak wood finishes and Zanzibar carvings. A large balcony or terrace is adjacent to all rooms. All rooms are air conditioned with en-suite bathrooms, refrigerator, personal safe and hair-dryer.

• 20 suites: Located on the upper floor of the bungalows; have a large balcony and sun beds; suites have a walk in dressing room and a larger bathroom with a spacious terrace; private sunbathing area and covered outdoor lounge area.
• 40 deluxe rooms: Located on the ground floor of the bungalows, all with private terrace.
• 10 standard rooms: These rooms are located further away from the sea on the property with a terrace and a garden view. Standard and deluxe rooms are identical in terms of decor and size.

Bars

• The Safari Bar - Open daily and very popular in the evenings before dinner offering a relaxed atmosphere with candlelight and jazz music.
• The Dhow features an innovative bar centred around a traditional Swahili Dhow. This bar is open daily with casual atmosphere and is an ideal retreat from the sun during the day.
• The Chai Room serves coffee, tea and cakes every day in this relaxing lounge with Zanzibari beds.
• The Baraza Bar is a fine Whisky & Cigar Bar. Drink a liqueur in the exotic setting of a traditional Swahili Baraza, set amongst flowing silks, beaded cushions, brass trays and intricate carvings.

Dining

• The Breakers Grill is a lunch restaurant with an open grill and tandoori oven. Barbecues and catch of the day is served on the beach front under the shade of the palm trees.
• Salama Dining Room offers full breakfast buffet every morning. This restaurant serves a four-course table service dinner with two starters, a choice of main course and desert. Three theme buffet dinners are organised per week: Swahili night, BBQ night and spice evening [for those booked-in here on a half-board basis (DBB)].
• The Sultans Table is an excellent restaurant serving a variety of delicacies from the Indian Ocean served in an exotic fusion of Indian, Swahili and Asian spices. Beautiful view of the sea and private bar decorated in Omani style.
• The Tides is private beach front dining for two in an intimate setting overlooking the India Ocean, offering personalized service and a special menu for two.

The Frangipani Spa
Located in tropical gardens, the Frangipani Spa [Zanzibar's first] offers a world class selection of facilities, health and beauty treatments including our trademarked "Apres Safari Treatment". Marine Activities Centre

Scuba diving Centre
Breezes is home to one of Zanzibar's most professional and experienced diving operations. The Rising Sun Dive Centre, which is a licensed PADI dive centre, offers all diving services from beginners to advanced diving. Our experienced diving instructors provide personalized instruction on a one to one basis while experienced divers can enjoy the fascinating marine life of the south east coast of Zanzibar.

Shopping Bazaar
The shopping bazaar offers an excellent selection of antiques, souvenirs and African Arts and Crafts.

Fitness & Aerobics Centre
The fitness centre features start of the art gym equipment with personalized instruction.

Cashiers office
It is possible to change money at the cashier's office. Traveller's cheques, cash, MasterCard, Visa and EUR card are all accepted for settling payments.

Telephone & Fax services
There are no telephones in the rooms however phone and fax services are available at the reception.

Tours and Excursions
We offer two excursions unique to Breezes: Indian Ocean Special and The Swahili Day. All tours and transfers are organised through the services of a fully licensed and registered tour operator.

Movie Entertainment Centre
Open daily and showing a set program of DVD movies on a large screen free of charge. The bar serves beverages and snacks at a charge.

Fitness & Aerobic Centre & Tennis Court
Open daily; use of tennis court is complimentary. Racket rental available.

Please note:

• It is not possible to withdraw cash from credit cards at the hotels.
• Visa, Master card and Amex are accepted at 10% surcharge.  
• There are no TV’s in the rooms, however the TV room in the hotel allows guests to watch satellite TV.
• No telephones in the rooms, but phone and fax services are available at reception.

Itinerary: 7 nights

• DAY 1: Fly from Johannesburg to Zanzibar with Air Tanzania. Transfer to the Breezes Beach Club & Spa where you will be staying for 7 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast (half-board) basis.
• DAY 8: Transfer to the airport and check in for your return flight to Johannesburg.
