The spice tours offers visitors to Zanzibar an opportunity to tour plantations, to learn about the history of the island and the cultivation of spice plants, and to see the many varieties of spices produced here.

Prison Island (1/2 day) - approx US per person (minimum 2 persons).

The island was formerly intended to be the penal institution in the days of the Sultancy, but was never really used as a prison.  It was actually the site of a hospital and quarantine facility.  Visible just a short distance from the Stone Town Prison Island is now a successful sanctuary for Giant Tortoises.  Just near the island, there are beautiful coral reefs for excellent snorkelling.  It is a pleasant destination for sunbathing and swimming.

Kizimkazi Dolphins (1/2 day) - approx US per person (minimum 2 persons).

Just off the southern coast of Zanzibar, the Bottlenose and Humpback dolphins of Kizimkazi have become naturally habituated to swimming with people who visit their habitat.  They often come close to guests but always manage to stay just beyond one’s fingertips.  The tour also visits one of the oldest Mosques on the island, one of the few Mosques open to visitors.  This tour may be combined with the Jozani Forest tour and a visit to Zala Park.

Jozani Forest and Kizimkazi (full day) - approx US5 per person (minimum 2 persons).
