Perfectly located on the famous Kelele Square street,  the Beyt Al Chai invites you to experience the ambience of the famous Stone Town overlooking a beautiful grassy square filled with hibiscus, Indian Almond and Tamarind trees to the Indian Ocean  beyond.  Only a few paces from the sea the hotel has six bedrooms and the top floor bedrooms have wonderful sea views. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and have fans. All rooms have good bathrooms, five rooms have showers and one room (sultan) has a shower and bath. There are tea/coffee facilities in five of the bedrooms.  In order to maintain the character of this antique building there are no noisy bars or restaurants nearby. Alcoholic beverages are available in the lounge which is the perfect place to relax on comfortable furniture.  Zanzibar town attractions and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Hair dryers on request. No safe in room, only at reception.

The 6 bedrooms and suites are divided in three categories:

• 2 Sultan Rooms: ± 40sqm each, with private bathrooms and a superb sea view to admire while relaxing during the day or with a drink at sunset;
• 3 Prince Rooms: ± 25sqm, with private bathroom and separate dressing room;
• 1 Princess Room: this room is slightly smaller but as original as the others and has a good size bathroom with direct entrance from the room.
