Zanzibar Palace Hotel has a strong mix of Arab and Indian influence in its architecture and makes Zanzibar Palace Hotel a true gem.  Its spacious rooms are beautifully decorated in true Zanzibar style, colours and furnishings with majestic beds, will give travellers a feel of royalty. Luxury rooms: The Shaba and Kijani have an apartment feel with separate but private bathrooms, each with an exquisite Sultan bath and very large dressing area.  A double bed and baraza in the bedroom with an extra bed in the entrance area allow these rooms to sleep 4 people. The Farizah and Sultana room, have open bathroom and a ten square meter balcony. The Arabica (former Baina) room has twin beds and a balcony overlooking the rooftops of Stone Town.  The semi-separate bathroom has a shower and dressing area with a beautifully crafted Zanzibar dresser.

Suites: Beauty, luxury and comfort describe the Sherali suite!  Large wooden, sliding windows (without glass – with mosquito-net) surround the room and give a view of the ocean and picturesque Stone Town.  The room has a double bed, cushion lounge and divan, features that force you to relax.  A romantic tub in the room and a semi-separate bathroom with shower, double basins and dressing area ad up to a seventy square meter dream! The Dunia suite cannot be described but only enjoyed.  A majestic Sultan’s bed and lounge area does not even fill this spacious room.  The antique Zanzibar furniture adds to the royal feeling one gets from entering but its bathroom is by far the main attraction.  An open-air bathroom on the private balcony includes a Sultan’s bath and deck where one can enjoy sunrise, sunset, a massage, cocktails, meals or just relax and take in the amazing view!  This room is perfect for honeymooner couples or simply anyone who feel the need for absolute luxury and comfort!

Standard rooms: Nadia and Rosewood rooms allow a double bed. They are both 25m² in size with en-suit bathroom (shower only).  These are mostly sold as single rooms.

For all rooms: All the furniture in this old Stone Town building is original pieces crafted by Zanzibar carpenters. Careful planning went into the selection of furniture to create this magical Arab/Indian atmosphere. Ceiling Fan, mosquito nets, 24 hrs room service, telephone, digital safe, TV with cable network, DVD player, bathrobes, bath and massage oils and hair dryer. Besides the Sherali Suite, all rooms have air-conditioning.

Restaurant & bar: The restaurant serves a continental breakfast and fine French Cuisine. Meals can be ordered any time of the day. Arabic lounge and Bar: Serves snacks and all drinks, beautifully decorated cocktails and coffees through out the day.
